Keely Walker

Keely Walker is an Executive Producer at KING 5 in Seattle. Over her 16 year career in broadcast news she has worked in Colorado Springs, Denver and Seattle. Main criteria is living somewhere with beautiful mountains.

For the majority of her career Keely produced daily newscasts covering major events including President Obama officially getting the party nomination at the 2008 DNC in Denver, the Aurora theater shooting and the trial that followed, along with countless flooding, wildfires and blizzards.

Since joining the team at KING 5 Keely had the opportunity to produce the original series Facing Race, which examined racism and racial inequality right here in the Pacific Northwest. The 13 week series was honored with a Peabody, Scripps Howard, regional Murrow and multiple Emmy awards. Aside from the accolades she’s most proud that stories that were never told were given the time they deserve.
Outside of the newsroom Keely loves to explore Washington, travel with her best friends, go to a show at the Paramount Theater and compare Washington breweries to her favorite spots in Colorado.
