Daryl Mitchell

Daryl Mitchell is a multi-Emmy winning photographer/editor with over 30 years of experience in the TV broadcasting world. He worked as a photographer/editor at KGW TV 8 in Portland for 11 years on the PM Magazine show in Portland. Currently Daryl is celebrating his 25 th year working at KPTV Fox 12 in Portland as a photographer/editor/Helicopter cameraman on the Good Day Oregon show.

During the basketball season Daryl also works the sideline camera for the Portland Trail Blazers in-house arena big screen show. Other freelance work includes working for ESPN, FOX Sports, CNN, TNT and MSNBC doing Timbers and Thorns soccer and remote interviews with politicians, doctors and celebrities.

Since 200 Daryl has been the owner/operator of Mitchell Video Productions Inc. Here in the Portland/Vancouver area. He’s done stories ranging from the Oregon State University cutting edge robotics program to profiles on multi- billion-dollar companies like Johnstone Supply, Inc.

Daryl has joined the NATAS NW chapter Diversity committee. In his free time Daryl enjoys collecting graphic novels-comic books, playing with his two dogs-Coby and Morty and flying his drones.
