Peter O’Connell

Peter O’Connell co-chairs the NATAS Northwest Awards Committee. He retired in 2017, after more than 40 years as a news producer and manager at stations in San Diego, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and Seattle. While retired, he still does occasional projects work, most recently producing political debates for the Washington State Debate Coalition. Peter has received numerous Emmy and Murrow awards and was inducted into the NATAS NW Silver Circle in 2017. He lives on Bainbridge Island, WA with his wife Kathleen and four of their six children who still live at home.
