It is an honor to be part of the Northwest broadcast community and the KOMO family. What a privilege to work in this industry during these exciting and uniquely challenging times.

Scott's broadcast odyssey started as a news photographer in Tacoma before Joining Kelly Broadcasting (KCRA) in 1989 as a photojournalist on its two syndicated shows, The West and In America. He traveled thousands of miles each year covering stones throughout the Western United States, Canada, and Mexico. From the frozen Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to corporal punishment in rural Texas, Scott spent four years helping to bring stones of Western life to millions of viewers every week across the country.

He returned to Seattle television at KIRO 7 as a videographer / producer for several local programs. while co-creating a late night talk entertainment show, Off Stage with Ross Shafer. In 1998 Scott Joined the marketing team at Q13 Fox and helped to successfully launch its new 10 o'clock News.

Scott came to KOMO 4 in 2000, first as a writer producer, and then as director of Creative Services and Marketing. His work has been honored with l S regional Emmy• awards, national network marketing awards from ABC and FOX; PromaxBDA Gold, Silver and Bronze and the Association of Religious Broadcasters award for outstanding PSA's.

With the support of Scott's creative team of producers and designers, and in partnership with KOMO News, KOMO Newsradio, 570 KVI and STAR 101.5, millions of dollars and thousands of pounds of food are collected each year for local charities and community causes. On his own time, Scott traveled to Uganda and Rwanda to produce a documentary to raise awareness for the need of freshwater wells in rural villages. The effort help generates more than $200,000. bringing clean water to 20 communities.

Scott is the chairman of the ABC Marketing Advisory Board. His is also a regional promotion supervisor for Sinclair Broadcasting, working with 11 TV stations across Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and California. He is a sought-out representative of the broadcast industry at high school and college career events.

Scott is most thankful for the love and support of his wife Karen and their children Kelsey and Alec.
